Our Visitors Are Satisfied Customers
“Everyone really enjoyed our post busy season dinner at the Sanford House last night. As Carey mention, the food and service was top notch, and I’ll add in the room itself. For a group our size, the room itself fits us to a tee. It was well set up, and allows us to enjoy the evening without bothering or being bothered by other groups. The outdoor area surrounding the dining area also sets the experience apart as an almost parklike setting.
So, thank you and share our thanks with Valerie and the staff.”
“My husband and I had our ceremony in their gardens under the gazebo and had an intimate lunch with the parents afterwards in the dining area. Everyone was so kind and pleasant to work with! The venue itself is gorgeous! The room that we rented was the Regency Suite and it was perfect! Can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!”
“This place is such a hidden gem! The rooms are very quaint and charming. It reminded me of being in a fancy English house and we were there for high tea. We sat near the window and was greeted by our waiter. We ordered a few cocktails and ordered our food. Here is what we ordered (and we will probably be coming back soon for more!)
I ordered the crusted trout. THIS IS A MUST-HAVE. I was blown away by the flavors and only wish that I could have some right now! My husband had the crab cake benedict. Of course, you cannot go wrong with crab cakes. It tasted amazing.”
“What a beautiful place to have an outdoor wedding! Our budget was small and we couldn’t do the whole “package” that they normally offer but they worked with us and together we came up with the perfect personalized package for us! Everything was wonderful, the scenery, the catering, the staff, the cake; all was absolutely perfect! Thank you to all of the staff at the Sanford House for helping to make my wedding every bit as wonderful as I’d hoped!”
“My sister and I had brunch here this morning. It was delicious. The meal started with a plate (or two) of mini muffins and whipped butter. Then, I had the almond crusted trout with beurre blanc, snap peas, and grape tomatoes. The fish was crispy on top and the portions were generous. My sister had the chicken and waffle with cherry bacon maple syrup. The chicken and waffle were a perfect mix of savory/sweet. We both had the bottomless mimosas which my favorite flavors were the passionfruit/strawberry and the grapefruit. Service was excellent: our waiter, Chad, was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was delightful: situated in the downstairs level of a bed and breakfast.”
“This is a lovely place for brunch. The wait staff is extraordinary. Very attentive and personable. Our waiter ,James, was knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, but yet very professional. He made excellent suggestions and facilitated an exceptional meal. Make sure to try the bacon maple syrup and braised pork Benedict. I will be dreaming of both for a while. They even included a strawberry pudding for my birthday! Thank you 506 for a great morning.”
“Maggie “magic hands” was amazing and sweet. The staff were lovely! I enjoyed my time and I will tell others of my great experience here! I can’t wait to come back. Thank you and your staff for a lovely day”
“What can I say but WOW! Krista and John were absolutely awesome! The Sanford House is a beautiful location for an intimate Wedding. We had 100 guest. John ( the chief ) went out of his way to accommodate our taste for Cajun Flair! Krista was so awesome to work with. We had no stress at all the day before, the day of or the day after. Krista worked with our outside vendors and set things up that we did not even think of. We had so much fun and our guest could not believe the transformation from Ceremony to Reception in the Courtyard! “Van” the man was another hidden jewel! Booking all the rooms the night before and the night of the wedding was truly a Bonus!”
